Winter Weather Procedures
Dear Stinkies Customers,                                                              December 10, 2007

With winter weather upon us, we wanted to remind you of our procedures in regards to snow and ice situations.

As you all know Kansas City weather can be very erratic.  We may have 6” of snow and or icy conditions one week and the next week it could all be melted away with warmer temperatures.  We continue our service during the winter for that fact.  Our winters can be somewhat mild and continuing to service your yard continues to create a sanitary environment for you and your pets.  Your dogs don’t stop “doo-ing” their business and neither do we.

Here at Stinkies we have a 95% service rate.  The other 5% is due to inclement weather.  Most of the time we continue to service your yard during rainstorms, heat, cold, etc.  It is only unique situations that we may be unable to service your yard.

Our procedures are as follows:

If it snows or if there is considerable ice build-up three days before your scheduled service day and there is still snow on the ground, we will return the next week or the next scheduled service day if you are a twice a week customer.

It is very common to have waste that is frozen solid onto the ground due to ice that it can create a larger mess trying to pry it up.  Under those circumstances we may leave it until it has had an opportunity to melt enough to be able to rid it from the ice.

There may be times that your gate can be frozen and unusable.  We will do our best to open a frozen gate but please understand we cannot be aggressive to the point of damaging your gate.  If we are unable to access your yard, we will return the next week or the next scheduled service day if you are a twice a week customer.

When there are situations beyond our control that does not permit us to service your yard, your monthly rate will remain the same.  We do not credit under these circumstances due to twice the amount of waste on our next visit.

Winter is a more time consuming season for us.  Just about every aspect of our business costs rise during the winter season.  But it is a temporary situation each year therefore we do not raise our rates during the winter months as many in our industry do.

All of us at Stinkies would like to thank you for your understanding and your business.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Shon Hatfield / Owner
